STILL LIFE is a 3-minute time-lapse video that captures an event rarely seen by the naked eye — the disintegration of a human body. Using photo-realistic visual effects to reproduce the metamorphosis, the spectacle of death is staged from a camera obscura point-of-view. The subject is treated with both scientific curiosity and a painterly light. The soundtrack echos the requiem by degenerating from musical to ambient sound, for an overall poetic result.
